The responsible party for this site, in the sense the Protection of Personal Information Act uses that term, is the publisher named below. One address reaches it.

This site uses Google Analytics 4, configured cookielessly: Google’s tag sets no cookie and stores no identifier on your device. What that measurement necessarily involves is your IP address reaching Google’s servers as part of the request. An IP address is personal information under the Act, so this page says so rather than describing the arrangement as collecting nothing. Our own measurement code does read your browser on every page view, to look for the gr_int flag that keeps our testing out of the figures; it is a single switch rather than an identifier, it is written only after a visit with ?internal=1 appended, and the cookies page describes it in full.

Nothing else is collected. There is no advertising, no profiling, no cross-site tracking, and no form on this site that asks who you are.

This site never asks for an identity number, a driving licence number, a notice reference, a number plate or a date of birth, and it renders no lookup form anywhere. That is a design rule, not a current state of affairs: those are exactly the identifiers a fraudulent message about a traffic fine asks for, and a site that asked for them would be indistinguishable from one.

It follows that this site cannot look your matter up, cannot tell you what you owe, and holds no record of you at all. The authority named on your paperwork is the one that can.

The site is a set of static files. It is served through a content-delivery network, which necessarily sees the request — including your IP address — in order to answer it, and which inserts one script of its own into every page: static.cloudflareinsights.com. That script sets no cookie, is not requested by this site and is not configurable from it. It is named here as well as on the cookies page because a disclosure that lives on only one page is one edit away from disappearing.

A data subject has rights of access, correction and deletion in respect of personal information a responsible party holds about them. In this site’s case there is nothing to access, correct or delete, because nothing about you is held — but the address above is the one to write to, and a request will be answered rather than ignored.

A complaint may also be made to the Information Regulator, which is the body the Act establishes for that purpose.
